The Tapirulan Illustrators Contest’s theme in 2024 was “Tandem”. I had to create an illustration based off of this word. I decided to create an image of 8 sled dogs working in tandem together. The main piece is completed using Gouache and Faber Castell Polychromos Pencils. I completed the composition digitally at first to ensure everything was correctly placed, then I transferred onto watercolour paper and completed the artwork using traditional media. This was my first attempt at Gouache.
