NCAD students collaborated with UCD students for this project. We were each assigned a story to create a matching illustration for. I was paired with Irina. Irina’s story is based around regulars getting on and off a particular bus. During covid, there was a halt to the routine and the feeling of belonging on the bus. I decided to create a piece focusing on the common object all bus users would have (travel passes and leapcards) placing them together over the scanning unit creating a “Family Portrait” type image.
